International meeting on exceptional consignment transport

On 13 -14 May 2015, there was held an international meeting of representatives of railway organisations dealing with the transport of exceptional consignments in the countries of V4. The meeting was organised by ZSR – Department of Transportation and took place in Radava (Slovakia). It was the first international meeting in this composition. Among the participants there were representatives of RIA and ČD Cargo (Czech Republic), PKP PLK and PKP Cargo (Poland), MÁV (Hungary) and also members of OLTIS Group dealing with applications MIMOZA and SYMOZA, which are used by Czech and Slovak users of exceptional consignment transport tracking. The aim of the meeting was to discuss mutual cooperation and communication during applications issuing. A part of the program was also a presentation of functionality of application software, which is currently used by the participating partners. The representatives of ZSR and MÁV informed about the intentions of the international working group UIC in the field of so-called PR codes for evaluation of track throughput. In the end, Petr Kroča, director of research, innovation and marketing in OLTIS Group, introduced project TREX and its possible use to support exceptional consignments transport in the V4 region.
