Koleje samorządowe – challenges and threats

The first year of the conference and exhibition “Koleje samorządowe – challenges and threats” was held on 28th and 29th May 2012 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The event was organized by Polska Izba Producentów Urządzeń i Usługna Rzecz Kolei, in which we have a membership.

Izba wanted to gather at the same time in one place both the rail carriers and the local governments with the aim of the discussion on the subject of ongoing changes in the regional transport. The creation and operation of new autonomous companies established to provide transportation service was another topic for discussion. It was a good opportunity to meet the directors and representatives of all of the newly established Polish regional railways and to discuss their needs and problems, even in the IT area.

OLTIS Group had a stand at the exhibition.

One part of the conference was an excursion into the company PIXEL Sp z o.o., where the participants got to know about the merger of the Polish supplier of equipment and information systems for passengers, ticketing and marking equipment for marking their validity, with the German company Annax, which is a supplier of the program RAILVOX plus.
