10th Wiener Eisenbahnkolloquium

The Institute of Transportation of Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien, Institut für Verkehrswissenschaften) organizes the Wiener Eisenbahnkolloquium every year in the Austrian capital. The 10th anniversary was held in the Technical Museum Vienna on the topic “Regionalization of passenger rail transport” and OLTIS Group company participated in the event as well.

The speakers represented not only large and small passenger carriers and railway operators, but also transportation coordinators, vehicle manufacturers, academic sphere and independent private companies. They presented contributions of valuable information and their opinions about organization of public transport in Austria, which is mostly conducted by the governments of the federal states and local authorities. Almost unanimously the representatives of the regions expressed that the railway is the backbone of the transport system.
