OLTIS Group team at running relay race Od Tatier k Dunaju (From Tatras to Danube)

On 16 – 17 August 2014, a team of 12 runners from OLTIS Group took part in a 345 km long relay run of teams OD TATIER K DUNAJU. With the time 28 hours 41 minutes and 58 seconds it gained the 41st place from total of 124 men/mix teams. Even though the team crossed the finish line 4:21 h after the winning team, it fit in the first third of the results sheet with an average time of under 5 min per 1 km – all this at an average age of runners over 40 years and including 3 women in the team.

Between Saturday 10 a.m. and Sunday 3 p.m., thus non-stop during the day and night, each member of the team went through 3 sections with a length of approximately 10 km on the trail from Jasna in the Low Tatras to the bank of Danube in Bratislava. Always only one member of the team was running while the rest was driving to the next stops on the relay run. Exactly this part of the “logistics”, meaning which car with whom should be at certain stop and at certain time, was one of the most difficult challenges for our team. We acquitted ourselves of this task with honour and in the spirit of the company slogan: BRINGING A SYSTEM INTO YOUR LOGISTICS.
